NOWvember 2023

A month of contemplative offerings

There is no time like the present, and there is no moment aside from now. Think about it: the past and the future exist only in our minds. All that exists, anytime, is now.

This Fall we celebrate the NOW with NOWvember: a month of contemplative activities designed to bring you into the present, the only time there is.

In addition to our regular classes and gatherings, we are hosting several special in-person and online activities covering a broad spectrum of interests and needs.

Want to meditate and prepare for winter? Attend our daylong retreat.

Just want to meditate? Join our Daily Meditations.

Mindfulness a little too ‘foreign’ for you? Could we interest you in Stoicism?

Into the arts? How about a workshop with world-renowned poet and essayist Ross Gay or an evening of conscious dance with Katie Wells?

Some contemplative time with your kid(s)? A Kutumba Yoga class may do the trick.

Need to ease some aches and pains and attend to the body? Try Feldenkrais!

Would you prefer to chill and savor the moment? A tea ceremony may be just what you need.

Or perhaps chill and discuss what’s important to you? Have you tried an InSpire gathering yet?

Whatever you’re into, we have something for you.

Whenever possible, our events and activities are offered free of charge. We can’t do that without the abundant support we receive from people like you. So this NOWvember we’re asking you to support us by making a tax-deductible donation to InStill, which will allow us to continue offering free and heavily subsidized programming to the people of Pulaski, the New River Valley, Southwest Virginia, and beyond.

Thank you for your support.

And we are excited to announce a $12,000 matching challenge from some of our biggest supporters, who will match you—dollar for dollar—for the first $12,000 raised in this campaign, as we aim to raise $24,000 to introduce and develop contemplative practice for more people  than ever before throughout our region and beyond!
