Meditation Groups in Southwest VA
We have done our best to compile a comprehensive list of meditation groups for southwest Virginia. You can sort by location using the menu below.
We are unable to keep track of all the developments with these groups, so please contact them before attending to confirm the details, and please email us if you know of any others, or of any corrections to our existing listings.
Also, you might want to keep an eye on our InSpire mindfulness gatherings. These clubs incorporate mindfulness, service, and fun, all in the pursuit of developing community. Please consider joining or starting one in your area.

Meetings weekly for those interested in starting or deepening their meditation practice. Format is drop-in, so you need not attend all sessions. Open with centering words and basic instruction, followed by sitting practice. Meditators from all traditions and all levels of experience are welcome.

1st Wednesday of month: “Mindfulness”
2nd Wednesday of month: “Forgiveness”
3rd Wednesday of month: “Loving Kindness (Metta)”
4th Wednesday of month: “Compassion”
5th Wednesday of month (when occurring): Various subjects as “Emptiness,” “Equanimity,” “Gratitude,” etc.)
The regular repetition of these meditations is meant to cultivate the qualities on a deeper level. The sessions are led by Linda Good and Marina Munjal.

The session includes a meditation and a Labyrinth walk guided by Brian Gardner, Director of Healing Arts at Merc Farms ad Trained Labyrinth Facilitator.
Before each meditation we will enjoy a soothing cup of herbal tea.
