Mindfulness is referred to implicitly throughout these films. Frodo goes in and out of being mindful of the effect of the ring has on him; Sam remains mindful of his situation; and Gollum could use some mindful awareness, as could Saruman and Wormtail.
Man of Steel Clark Kent is an alien who as a child was evacuated from his dying world and came to Earth, living as a normal human. But when survivors of his alien home invade Earth, he must reveal himself to the world. Check out the training Clark receives early in life: a teacher who gets him to focus and visualize, and then later when he explains to General Zod that his parents taught him to focus when dealing with suffering.
