Meredith Lane
Meredith Lane is studying criminology and peace studies at Virginia Tech where her interests of study center around the intersection of substance use disorder and our justice system. A student in recovery, she works for the New River Valley Regional Commission as a community accountability intern for the Recovery Ecosystem, serves as the vice president of VT Students for Sensible Drug Policy, and represented Virginia Tech as a fellow for SAFE Project’s national Collegiate Recovery Leadership Academy from 2023-2024. Meredith currently assists Virginia Tech’s community engagement center as a student program coordinator, and has interned at a conflict resolution center in Roanoke.
