Restorative justice is acknowledging and repairing harm for the purpose of reconciliation
Restorative Justice (RJ) is a philosophy and set of practices, rooted in indigenous teachings, that emphasize our interconnection by repairing relationships when harm occurs while proactively building and maintaining relationships to prevent future harm.
The 4-hour, Introduction to Restorative Justice workshop will provide an overview of the theory, principles, and values of RJ. We will explore practical applications for school settings such as the use of circles and other practices that operate from a Restorative mindset.
This workshop is not designed to enable participants to be considered RJ practitioners but can help support community and relationship-building in classrooms via mindfulness education.
Numbers are strictly limited, so please register beforehand by clicking on the link. This event is freely offered, and we welcome donations of any amount.
