Join us for a movement experience! Each class in this four-part series will be a gentle, Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) lesson. The movements will be suitable for beginners or experienced students in the Feldenkrais Method.
Tension can show up in many ways; body, mind, and emotions. The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education is a powerful and revolutionary approach to reducing tension on all levels and bringing greater ease.
Feldenkrais lessons use movement and the brain’s ability to learn to increase mobility and fluidity. Classes take students through gentle, sophisticated movement sequences with mindful awareness to change habitual patterns that cause tension. These lessons can help reduce pain, improve balance and posture, bring deep calm, and much more.
In the video below, your teacher Alison Babil guides an introductory class. The November series will give participants to experience even greater benefits from the discipline.

Clothing: Please wear comfortable clothing.
Space: You will be mostly be lying on your back during this class. Please have a comfortable surface such as a carpet or yoga mat with extra padding. If you need head support please have a folded bath towel.
Zoom cameras: If you are comfortable, please have your Zoom camera on facing at your side. Alison will modify the teaching according to students’ movement.
