Reed Yearwood

Reed Yearwood is the Peer Recovery Coordinator for Radford University's Substance and Violence Education Support (SAVES) program. He is also a herdsman and grazing specialist at Ellett Valley Beef Company. He has been involved in mindfulness practices since early childhood, and was a meditation leader at the Blacksburg Meditation Group and has been actively involved in teaching the art of mindfulness and meditation all over the state of Virginia and Southeast U.S. As a recovery specialist, Reed believes his lived experience helps others identify more easily with the suffering that can encompass our lives and uses that mutuality to direct growth in wellness, affirmation, and self-discovery.
