Robert (Ernie) Wallace

Robert (Ernie) Wallace is a Lifelong resident of the town of Pulaski. He graduated from Hargrave Military Academy class of 1969, and has earned a Masters in Counseling and Human Development from Radford University along with several other accolades. Ernie has held a variety of offices in civic clubs including Jaycees Kiwanis, Elks, and Downtown Merchant Council. He served as a member of the Pulaski County Volunteer Rescue Squad for 25 years earning a Lifetime Member certificate, and helped start a volunteer rescue squad in Denver, North Carolina. Ernie volunteered with the American Red Cross for 40 years as an instructor and served as the vice chair of the Pulaski Chapter. He currently volunteers with Pulaski Daily Bread, and has been a board member of the Ratcliffe Transportation Museum, the Pulaski Theatre, and the Pulaski County Court House Museum. His working career has included helping to run Wallace’s Ready-to-Wear ladies’ shop, Bob’s Shoe Center, and his photographic business. He also worked as a mental health provider, and with separated parents for the Virginia Supreme Court System. He is an elder and pulpit supply minister at First Presbyterian Church.
