Nenden Stillman-Runyon
Nenden Stillman-Runyon, LCSW is a mental health therapist who brings mindfulness practices into her work with veterans at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center. With an emphasis on cultivating awareness of the mind-body connection in trauma-informed therapy, she integrates mindfulness into individual and group settings and is continually impressed by its flexibility, effectiveness and expansive quality. Nenden continues to explore ways in which mindfulness can be used in work with chronic pain, and as a modality in combination with her training in EMDR. She also leads online mindfulness groups for brain injury survivors through Brain Injury Services of Southwestern Virginia’s CLiC Forward program. She received her MSW from Radford University, where she learned how to use mindfulness practice for personal and professional growth.
