Mikhala Stafford is pursuing her Master of Public Health at Virginia Tech and is working as a peer support and outreach intern at the New River Valley Regional Commission for the Recovery Ecosystem. Mikhala's professional background is in domestic and sexual violence prevention and services, and her research interests include the complex pathways between trauma and justice-involvement, rural health, and women's health.
