Swede McBroom is a long-term mindfulness practitioner, who has led the Blue Mountain Center of Meditation Satsang in Floyd for many years. He also leads a community meditation group, and both are held at Shanti on Deer Park Farm—a beautiful meditation hall that is open to the public, which he built on his property. He has plans to build a retreat center at the same location. He is the former owner of The Natural Woodworking Co., which produced quality hand-made furniture pieces using traditional means of joinery.
