Bill Macauley, Jr., Ph.D.
Bill Macauley, Jr., Ph.D. is a Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. He has been the Director of the University Writing Center and Composition and Communication in the Disciplines. His research examines student-writer agency, self-efficacy, mindfulness, ecologies of writing, and the Oxbridge Tutorial. He has authored and coauthored over 30 professional publications, including the 2007 International Writing Centers Association Outstanding Scholarship Best Book Award winner, Marginal Words, Marginal Work? Tutoring the Academy in the Work of Writing Centers, and has taken on leadership roles in multiple international, national, regional, and local professional organizations.
