The Late Lewis Grogan was founder and chief executive officer of The Knowledge Connection, LLC, an audiovisual company that has worked for the Pentagon, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and the Federal Reserve Banks, among others. Previously, he was the director of the nonprofit, Valley Character, and also worked with at risk youth. He served on the board of Total Action Against Poverty, as treasurer of the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, as president of the Northwest Neighborhood Improvement Council, and as a grant writer on Roanoke’s Community Development Block Grant review committee. Lewis served in the Air Force for six years, was an Eagle Scout, and possessed a BA in History.
