Justin L. Griffith was born and raised in the New River Valley. After graduating from Christiansburg High School, he accepted an NCAA Football scholarship to attend Glenville State College. After graduation, he attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. Upon earning his law degree, he returned home and worked as a Magistrate for the 27^th Judicial District from 2009 to 2011. He then became a prosecutor in Pulaski County and now serves as the Pulaski County Commonwealth's Attorney. His recovery mindset has evolved over his career and his mentors in that field have included Lori Trail and Chris Alderman.
