Jon Dance
Jon Dance, MPH, R-CPRS, QMHP is a dedicated advocate for recovery, mental wellness, and community resilience. He earned a Master of Public Health degree that was focused on community health promotion and equity, and is currently pursuing a PhD in the Foundations of Education at Virginia Tech, in which he is exploring the intersection of mental wellness, education, and recovery support systems. As a person in long-term recovery, Jon has been instrumental in advancing the Community Resiliency Model (CRM) and other evidence-based approaches to mental wellness, working to make mindfulness and resilience practices accessible in diverse settings. In addition to his academic and advocacy work, Jon serves as a co-chair of the Montgomery County Prevention Partners coalition and leads discussions on recovery, substance use, and wellness at the local and national levels.
