Dr. Mark Church is the Superintendent of Franklin County Public Schools, which is the school division he and his children graduated from. An accomplished educator who has served in both urban and rural school districts, Dr. Church is also an Adjunct Professor at James Madison University, and has served as the State Director of SkillsUSA Virginia. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, and Masters degrees from Lynchburg College and Virginia Tech.
