
Dr. Lindsay Kahle Semprevivo
Dr. Lindsay Kahle Semprevivo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Radford University. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania before completing her Ph.D. in Sociology at Virginia Tech. Her primary areas of specialization are Criminology and Women’s and Gender Studies, exploring trauma-informed care, restorative and transformative justice, and community-engaged approaches to research and teaching. She has cultivated partnerships with local agencies and organizations to support initiatives that connect scholarship with practice, including restorative horticulture programming for system-involved youth, service-learning partnerships with anti-violence organizations, and Inside-Out prison exchange course collaborations. Dr. Semprevivo is affiliate faculty with the West Virginia University Research Center on Violence and the Laboratory for the Study of Youth Inequality and Justice at Arizona State University. She is committed to producing research that not only advances knowledge but also informs policy, practice, and community-based efforts to address inequality and harm.
